SHADOWPELT

2 PHASES 1 VIEWSUPDATED APR 14, 2026HARD

Shadowpelt is a badass Mangler that turns invisible and regenerates its shield if you don't maintain constant damage output. Found in Whistler's Maw Abandoned Auger Mine, Terminus Range. This elusive boss cloaks itself and jumps around the arena firing lightning bolts, making tracking and sustained damage challenging. When it loses its shield, it becomes visible again and charges head-on at players.

PRO TIP

Ping Shadowpelt before it cloaks to track it through invisibility. The ping marker stays visible even when the boss disappears — your easiest tracking method.

Phase 1: Shielded Cloak (Blue Shield — use Shock)

  1. STEP 01

Ping the Boss Before It Cloaks

Ping Shadowpelt as soon as you enter the arena. The ping marker remains visible through invisibility, making tracking effortless throughout Phase 1. Without this, you'll lose the boss constantly.

  2. STEP 02

    Track Through Energy Ball Attacks

Energy Ball attacks reveal Shadowpelt's exact position during invisibility. When you see the energy ball fire, immediately throw grenades or sustained fire at the source location. The More Energy Balls jump attack is your best damage window.

  3. STEP 03

    Maintain Constant Damage Output

Never stop dealing damage or the Blue Shield regenerates completely. Use grenades, minion builds, or spray fire continuously. Atlas weapons with Infinum Firmware can lock onto the cloaked boss and maintain damage automatically.

DON'T DO THIS

Don't chase Shadowpelt around the arena. Plant yourself in the center and use area damage — chasing breaks your damage output and lets the shield regenerate.

Phase 2: Visible Flesh (Red Health — use Fire)

  1. STEP 01

    Switch to Fire Weapons

The moment the Blue Shield depletes, Shadowpelt becomes permanently visible with Red Health weak to Fire damage. Switch from Shock to Fire weapons for maximum damage output in Phase 2.

  2. STEP 02

    Focus Fire During Charge Attacks

Shadowpelt's Head-on Charge attack runs directly toward you in a straight line. Don't dodge — stand your ground and unload Fire damage as it approaches. This is your primary damage window in Phase 2.

  3. STEP 03

    Use Homing Attacks

Now that Shadowpelt is permanently visible, use homing projectiles and Phase Clone abilities that require target lock. These work perfectly in Phase 2 but were useless during invisibility in Phase 1.
